HISTORY of LUCIANO MEGGIARIN

The Artigianato Orafo 084 was founded in 1984 and owner works there on his own creating objects of undisputed technical value but above all original and the expression of notable creativeness.
In 1974 he attends the Insitute of Art in Venice and then he begins towork in Vicenza, after which he takes the decision of undertaking the activity autonomously.
At first his production is of classical jewellery but soon his interests in the artistic field and in the experimentantion push him in search of new shapes, new lines, to express through the precious object the themes dear to him.Like the theme of nature that moves andcharms him and that carries him continuously to search to create an object that expresses the bond of the artist with the world that surrounds him and for this he avails himself of the collaboration of his sister Eleonora, aspirant sculptress.
The Orafo is also sculptor and is able to maintain the three-dimension form of the object: a big examplefor him is the work of the French sculptor Rodin (that Luciano loves particularly) who knew how to underline the relationship work/nature.That is why the creative spur and the personal doubt are not sufficient ,but also the study and the technical experimentation become necessary as well as the execution of the sketch andtherefore of the model that is often debated with the customer -buyer.Having the study of nature as a base it is obvious that the shapes of his objects are very particular ,for example gold foils like an imitation of sheets water, or sandy dunes, Irish inlets,rocky mountains,chromatism of natural material and stones particularly cut and cut and set (Australian opals and coloured sapphires.)
The modelling of the material, precious or not, occurs according to the traditional techniques,cleverly dosing the use of the burin with the ball to get an effective light and shade contrast between the brightest and the most opaque parts.
The production includes the creation of any object in precious metal. The clientèle is heterogeneous, from Venice and from all over Italy.
The Artigianato Orafo 084 was present at the fair in Vicenza, at the Show " Gold from Venice ", in 1981 at the Show of Mestrino Craftmanship and at different editions of the Artistic Venetian Craftmanship Venice Mart, present the firm with ome classical and modern objects at Taormina, Vicenza, Verona and Japan.
